Between Forms by Sergio Aguillón-Mata
Saturday, July 13 from noon-1pm
A performance by Sergio Aguillón-Mata in conjunction with his work in the exhibition. In this happening, Aguillón-Mata pursues a spontaneous turning of the image into a graphos. 20 original works will be created live and will be given away at random to visitors.
“One way of claiming an image as your own, regardless its subject, is by turning it into a calligraphy of sorts. Tuymans: ‘It has to be your handwriting’, which is another way of saying the line must contain the artist.”
