Annika Jonker (she/her) is so grateful to be back at The Carnegie for the holidays! Annika is a current junior Musical Theater major at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). She spent her summer at The Carnegie in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Ensemble; u/s Janet) and TICK…TICK…BOOM! (Susan & Others) and was recently seen onstage at CCM in WONDERFUL TOWN (Violet/Ensemble) and on Carnegie Hall in 30 YEARS OF STEPHEN FLAHERTY. JT Langlas is thrilled to return to the Carnegie Theatre for the holidays! Currently pursuing a BFA in musical theatre at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, JT spent this last summer at the Carnegie in TICK, TICK… BOOM! (Michael/Others) and BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL (Drifter/Ensemble). Other Cincinnati credits include: THE 70S ON DEMAND (Ensemble, Kings Island), CINDERELLA JR. (The Prince, TCT), and SOMETHING ROTTEN (Ensemble, CCM).

Patrick Earl Phillips (He/Him) Jon
Patrick is ecstatic to be making his debut at The Carnegie. Patrick is a proud member of AEA. He received his BA in Theatre from Xavier University and trained as an Acting Intern with Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati. Regional credits include HANDS ON A HARDBODY, SWEAT, FLY BY NIGHT, BLOOMSDAY, THIS RANDOM WORLD, CINDERELLA, THE FROG PRINCESS and LUNA GALE with Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, WRECKING BALL, LITTLE WOMEN, ROMEO & JULIET and TITUS ANDRONICUS with Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, THIS IS TOM JONES!, and AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS with Human Race Theatre Company and MERCURY with Know Theatre of Cincinnati. Madeline Stern (She/Her) Standy for Susan
Madeline is thrilled to be part of her first production at The Carnegie with this incredibly talented group of people! Madeline has a BM & MM in Vocal Performance from Indiana University. Julie Cowger (She/Her) Lighting Designer
Julie Cowger recently moved to Cincinnati from Los Angeles, CA where she was on the Lighting team at the Geffen Playhouse. This is Julie’s second production with The Carnegie following THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. She is currently in charge of Lighting at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT). She was previously in the Lighting Department at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (CPIP) where she led and programmed in the Rouse Theatre. This included productions like FRIDA, A CHORUS LINE, SEVEN GUITARS, RING OF FIRE, SHANE, CLYDES, & A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Recent projects include FINDING NEMO KIDS!, THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY, and CHICAGO with the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s Academy LIVE! program. She co-designed and programmed Drew & Lea Lachey’s LABEL-LESS at CPIP and plans to join them again in 2024. Julie will be the Associate Lighting Designer on TCT’s SANTA CLAUS THE MUSICAL in their final season at the Taft Theatre before becoming the Lighting Supervisor at the newly renovated Emery Theatre in 2025. Michael Hamburg (He/Him) Assistant Stage Manager
Michael is a stage management student at CCM and is so excited to be back at The Carnegie! This is his 7th show here — he very recently was the PSM for THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Other recent show highlights include: PLAYLIST – ASM at Cincinnati Ballet, SWEET CHARITY – PA at CCM, KINKY BOOTS – ASM at The Carnegie, and more. Maria F Ortiz Lopez (She/Her) Costume Designer
A native of Mexico City, she studied Fashion Design in Mexico and earned her MFA in Costume Design & Technology at the University of Cincinnati, where she designed and built garments for period and musical productions. After graduation, Maria worked as a production assistant on the second season of Apple TV’s THE AFTERPARTY and designed the costumes for ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, an 1800s western short film. Her latest design jobs have been: FORBIDDEN BROADWAY at Forestburgh Playhouse, FIONA: THE MUSICAL, and THE MATCH GAME at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, DEAF REPUBLIC(An ASL Shadow Interpreted show) with Pones inc, and PEERLESS at The Human Race Theatre.
Abby Sauer (She/Her) Production Stage Manager
Abby Sauer (Production Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back behind the stage management table at The Carnegie with this incredible cast and production team! Previously, Abby was the Assistant Stage Manager on TENDERLY: A ROSEMARY CLOONEY MUSICAL. When she is not working on a show, you will find her overseeing all front of house operations as the Events Manager for The Carnegie making sure patrons are enjoying their experience. Prior to working with The Carnegie, Abby has been a contracted stage manager for various companies such as The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Summer Repertory Theatre Festival in Santa Rosa CA., and Aspen Music Festival and School. Abby holds her master’s degree in Arts Administration from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of the Performing Arts, and a B.F.A. in Stage Management from UC’s nationally renowned College-Conservatory of Music. She would like to thank her family and friends for the constant support and allowing her to live her dreams! Hope you enjoy this wonderful piece of theatre!!!
Mia Catherine Sound Effects Designer
Mia Catherine is a Sound Designer & Audio Engineer based in Cleveland, OH. Her previous designs at The Carnegie include HELLO, DOLLY!, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (2024), TICK, TICK…BOOM!, and BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
Matthew Umphreys (He/Him) Music Director
Matthew Umphreys is a Cincinnati-based musician who loves working with great singers, regardless of genre. He has worked around the country as a pianist, coach, arranger and music director with organizations such as a Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Song Initiative, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, the American Traditions Competition, the Skivvies, Celtic Woman, All of the Above ensemble, and the Schmidt Vocal Institute. Matthew is co-artistic director of Queen City Cabaret, which released their debut album *Count Your Blessings: A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney* in December 2021. Queen City Cabaret is a resident company at The Carnegie, co-producing an annual season of theatrical cabarets at the theater. Read more at www.queencitycabaretcincy.com. Matthew currently serves as Director of Music at Columbia Baptist and Linwood Baptist churches in Cincinnati and he is a sought-after collaborator for recordings and recitals. He holds degrees from Luther College and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In his free time (lol), Matthew enjoys practicing yoga, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, riding roller coasters and watering his many houseplants.
Doug Stock Technical Director
Doug is in his sixth season at The Carnegie, where he has designed sets for LITTLE SHOP…, JOSEPH…, PROOF, AMERICAN IDIOT, DREAMGIRLS, and THE FULL MONTY in addition to overseeing tech for hundreds of concerts and rental events. Previously, he was Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati’s Assistant Technical Director and Master Carpenter. He was also the Technical Director and Scenic & Lighting Designer at Thomas Worthington High School, his Alma Mater. Graduate of UC-CCM.
Tyler Gabbard Scenic & Props Designer, Producer
Tyler is the Producing Director of Theatre at The Carnegie, recognized as Cincinnati’s “Favorite Local Theatre” by the BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Awards and praised by The Sappy Critic as the city’s “go-to theater for musicals.” The League of Cincinnati Theatres declared, “Under its new Theatre Director, Tyler Gabbard, The Carnegie has soared to new heights, quickly becoming one of, if not the, top choice for theatregoers in Cincinnati.” Before joining The Carnegie, Tyler held administrative roles at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University, and the School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University. He is on the board of CCMPower and previously served as Vice President of the League of Cincinnati Theatres. Tyler worked with Ms. Tina Knowles for three years as the VIP Manager for her annual Wearable Art Gala. Tyler’s career began as the general management intern with Dodgers Theatricals, working on Broadway productions of MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JERSEY BOYS, and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. As a scenic designer, his work has been seen in New York City, Los Angeles, and over a dozen venues in Kentucky and Ohio, including more than 20 productions at The Carnegie. He earned the BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Award for Best Scenic Design for his work on THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is an alumnus of the Emerging Leadership Institute of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals. His accolades include the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Next Generation Leader Award, features in Movers & Makers’ Notables in Performing Arts, Queer Kentucky’s 25 Faces of Fairness, and Cincinnati Magazine’s Power 100 Rising Stars. Tyler resides in Bellevue with his husband, Jack Manion—an artist and educator—and their dog, Popsicle.
