Paige Davis Miss Lynch
Paige is best known as the host of the Emmy-nominated Trading Spaces and has also hosted shows for Hallmark Channel, OWN, and Food Network.
On Broadway and tour, she’s dazzled as Babette (Beauty and the Beast), Charity (Sweet Charity), and Gloria (Boeing–Boeing). Her longest running association has been with Chicago, having played Roxie Hart in multiple turns on Broadway, and on the national and international tours.
She’s headlined Mame (North Shore Music Theatre) and Hello, Dolly! (Pioneer Theatre Company) and starred in productions at The Old Globe, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Barrington Stage, Arizona Theatre Company, Austin Musical Theatre, and Missouri Repertory Theatre.
Locally, audiences may recognize Paige from her turn as a spokesperson for Fifth Third Bank. She spent much of her childhood in Louisville where she graduated from the Youth Performing Arts School. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, actor Patrick Page.
Nick Abouzeid Danny Zuko
Nick Abouzeid (Danny Zuko) is a senior BFA Musical Theatre major at Otterbein University originally from Warwick, RI. Nick is thrilled to be making his Carnegie debut in this classic musical. His most recent credits include THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 (Anatole), BRIGHT STAR (Billy Cane), 9 TO 5 (Joe) and THIS IS OUR YOUTH (Warren). GRACE BAKER is a junior musical theatre major at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. This past summer, she performed in GREASE at the Carnegie playing Jan. Also at the Carnegie, she was a swing in SEUSSICAL this past February, and she will be in the ensemble of ANYTHING GOES this March. Evan Blust is a rising senior Musical Theatre major with a minor in Dance at Otterbein University. This is his second production with The Carnegie, having previously appeared in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Anthony J Contreras is originally from Adrian, Michigan and is based out of Cincinnati with a BA in Musical Theatre from Xavier University. This is his second production at The Carnegie. He was also in KINKY BOOTS (Angel) where he found his love for drag! His recent credits include A CHORUS LINE (Larry/Paul U/S) at Short North Stage, SOMETHING ROTTEN (Nigel Bottom) at Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, and WEST SIDE STORY (Luis/Bernardo U/S) at La Comedia Dinner Theatre. Indya Lincicome, a Florida native, is currently a rising senior at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) where she is working toward her BFA in Musical Theatre. Eric Byrd Director
Eric is a Cincinnati native who moved back home from NYC in 2016. Eric currently teaches in the musical theatre department at CCM and before that, served as Management Associate at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Associate Artistic Director at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati. Favorite directing and/or choreography credits include CINDERELLA and SHE LOVES ME at CCM; RENT, GUYS & DOLLS, and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at The Carnegie; FOOTLOOSE and DISNEY’S NEWSIES at the Incline; ANNIE, SANTA CLAUS THE MUSICAL, RAPUNZEL’S HAIRY FAIRY TALE, and GARFIELD THE MUSICAL WITH CATTITUDE at TCT. Favorite performance credits include playing Bob Gaudio in JERSEY BOYS at Short North Stage and Bert in MARY POPPINS at TCT. While in NYC he worked in the casting office of Stewart/Whitley, assisting on numerous Broadway, National Tour, regional and cruise ship casting projects. He holds a BFA from Wright State University and an MA from University of Cincinnati.
Matthew Umphreys Music Director
Matthew Umphreys is a Cincinnati-based musician who loves working with great singers, regardless of genre. He has worked around the country as a pianist, coach, arranger and music director with organizations such as a Cincinnati Opera, Playhouse in the Park, The Carnegie, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Vocal Arts Ensemble, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Song Initiative, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, the American Traditions Competition, the Skivvies, and Celtic Woman. Most recently, Matthew served as music director and co-arranger for the world premiere of MRS. DALLOWAY: A NEW MUSICAL at Cincinnati Shakespeare. He is a Founding Artistic Director and Principal Artist of Queen City Cabaret, which released their debut album Count Your Blessings: A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney in December 2021.
Matthew currently serves as Director of Music at Columbia Baptist and Linwood Baptist churches in Cincinnati and he is a sought-after collaborator for recordings and recitals. He holds degrees from Luther College and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In his free time, Matthew enjoys practicing yoga, riding roller coasters and baking muffins.
Tyler Gabbard Scenic & Props Designer, Producer
Tyler is the Producing Director of Theatre at The Carnegie, recognized as Cincinnati’s “Favorite Local Theatre” by the BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Awards and praised by The Sappy Critic as the city’s “go-to theater for musicals.” The League of Cincinnati Theatres declared, “Under its new Theatre Director, Tyler Gabbard, The Carnegie has soared to new heights, quickly becoming one of, if not the, top choice for theatregoers in Cincinnati.” Before joining The Carnegie, Tyler held administrative roles at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University, and the School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University. He is on the board of CCMPower and previously served as Vice President of the League of Cincinnati Theatres. Tyler worked with Ms. Tina Knowles for three years as the VIP Manager for her annual Wearable Art Gala. Tyler’s career began as the general management intern with Dodgers Theatricals, working on Broadway productions of MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JERSEY BOYS, and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. As a scenic designer, his work has been seen in New York City, Los Angeles, and over a dozen venues in Kentucky and Ohio, including more than 20 productions at The Carnegie. He earned the BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Award for Best Scenic Design for his work on THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is an alumnus of the Emerging Leadership Institute of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals. His accolades include the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Next Generation Leader Award, features in Movers & Makers’ Notables in Performing Arts, Queer Kentucky’s 25 Faces of Fairness, and Cincinnati Magazine’s Power 100 Rising Stars. Tyler resides in Bellevue with his husband, Jack Manion—an artist and educator—and their dog, Popsicle.
Cat Schmeal-Swope Costume Designer
Cat Schmeal-Swope is a Costume Designer and Draper based in the Greater Cincinnati area. Beginning this fall semester, she will join the faculty of CCM as the Visiting Assistant Professor of Costume Technology. Previously, she served for nine years as the Costume Shop Manager and an Adjunct Professor in Northern Kentucky University’s Theatre & Dance Program. Various regional costume design credits include: BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROL KING MUSICAL (The Carnegie), ALICE IN WONDERLAND (Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati), A DISTINCT SOCIETY (The Human Race Theatre Company), HANDS ON A HARDBODY (Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati), HOWARD CRABTREE’S WHEN PIGS FLY (NKU), OTHELLO (The Ohio State University in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company). In addition to her design work, Cat has served as a Cutter/Draper for numerous companies, including Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. She holds an MFA in Theatre Design from The Ohio State University.
Julie Cowger (She/Her) Lighting Designer
Julie Cowger recently moved to Cincinnati from Los Angeles, CA where she was on the Lighting team at the Geffen Playhouse. She was recently honored with the 2024 Broadway World Cincinnati Award for Best Lighting Design for THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. She is currently head of Lighting at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT) and was previously in the Lighting Department at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (CPIP) where she led and programmed in the Rouse Theatre. This included productions like FRIDA, A CHORUS LINE, SEVEN GUITARS, RING OF FIRE, SHANE, CLYDES, & A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Recent projects include TICK, TICK, BOOM! and SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL at The Carnegie where she is excited to remount THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW in October 2025! She designs and teaches lighting with the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s Academy LIVE! program. She co-designed and programmed Drew & Lea Lachey’s LABEL-LESS at CPIP and continues to help grow the production. Julie was the Associate Lighting Designer for TCT’s SANTA CLAUS THE MUSICAL in their final season at the Taft Theatre and is looking forward to becoming the Lighting Supervisor at the newly renovated Emery Theatre in 2025. Missy J. White Wig, Hair, & Makeup Designer
Missy J. White holds an MFA in Makeup and Wig Design for Theatrical Production from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and a BFA from the School of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) from the University of Cincinnati. She has been teaching Stage Makeup and Wig Construction/Styling courses at Northern Kentucky University since 2019 and began teaching the Wigs, Hair, and Makeup graduate program at her alma mater in October of 2024. Shauna Nelson is so thankful to be a part of another stellar season at The Carnegie! Shauna is an alumni of Northern Kentucky University’s School of the Arts, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts focused in Stage Management. Her favorite Carnegie credits include: DISENCHANTED (PSM), AMERICAN IDIOT (ASM), LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (ASM), LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR & GRILL (PSM), and BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL (PSM). She also spent a few years as an Assistant Stage Manager with Cincinnati Ballet, working on local favorites such as: THE NUTCRACKER, CINDERELLA, and NEW WORKS. Alexander Lopez is a rising junior studying Theatre, Political Science, and Marketing at Northwestern University and is making his Carnegie debut! Previous directing credits include BONNIE & CLYDE (Northwestern WAVE), UNINHABITABLE HOME (Northwestern Vertigo), THE TEMPEST (Wirtz Center, Assistant Director), and this fall he will be directing SHREK (Northwestern Purple Crayon). Braedan Criss Assistant Stage Manager
Braedan is super excited to work on his first show at The Carnegie! Braedan is a rising senior at Northern Kentucky University where he is perusing a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre. This is his second summer spent doing Stage Management, last year he was the Stage Manager for SWEET DELILAH SWIM CLUB and ANNIE at Derby Dinner Playhouse. While he enjoys stage management very much, he also enjoys performing as well! Catch him as Will Parker in OKLAHOMA! at Northern Kentucky University this fall!
Gina Cerimele-Mechley Fight/Intimacy Director
Gina is one of the few female Fight Directors in the country with the Society of American Fight Directors and is the resident Intimacy Director for The Cincinnati Opera and Cincinnati Ballet. Regional credits include: Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Opera Theatre St. Louis, Denver Center Theatre Company, Human Race Theatre, Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, and Nintendo Motion Capture Studios. Her work as an Intimacy Director has often been seen at The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company and several high schools in the area. The respect for intimacy needs to begin early which is why she is seriously proud of the work she does for the high school programs. “It is just a kiss” is not a tolerable comment especially when it is a student’s FIRST kiss. Gina focuses much of her time on her now nationally recognized private acting studio and her theatre company, Cincinnati Actor’s Studio & Academy. Gina has been awarded The United States of America Distinguished Teacher Award, was the first recipient of the Cincinnati Arts Association Arts Educator Award, and was nominated for the “Excellence in Theatre Education Award” presented by The Tony Awards. She was just dubbed a knight by the order of The Knights of Madoc, in honor of her “work in the art of stage combat and in recognition of her fine character and enduring good will.”
Claire Dillon Female Swing, Dance/Fight Captain
A Cincinnati native and a rising junior Musical Theatre major at Otterbein University, Claire is thrilled to be back at The Carnegie! You may have seen her in last year’s production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Ensemble, u/s Columbia). Other recent credits include FOOTLOOSE (Wendy Jo), THE BEST DAMN THING (Ellie), and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD (Woman 1). Marcia Fortner Wardrobe Manager
Marcia is a recent graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a BFA in Stage Management. She’s excited to return to The Carnegie for her tenth show! Her recent credits include: The Carnegie: ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE (PSM) THE COLOR PURPLE (ASM), SEUSSICAL (Wardrobe Manager), and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Wardrobe Manager). Doug Stock Technical Director
Doug is in his sixth season at The Carnegie, where he has designed sets for LITTLE SHOP…, JOSEPH…, PROOF, AMERICAN IDIOT, DREAMGIRLS, and THE FULL MONTY in addition to overseeing tech for hundreds of concerts and rental events. Previously, he was Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati’s Assistant Technical Director and Master Carpenter. He was also the Technical Director and Scenic & Lighting Designer at Thomas Worthington High School, his Alma Mater. Graduate of UC-CCM.
Kyle Imbronyev Production Technician
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Kentucky University. After working both on stage and screen in Los Angeles, CA, he moved back to Cincinnati and became the Artistic Director for a local high school. Kyle would like to thank his friends and family for their constant support, especially his beautiful wife Ellen and their amazing daughter, Millie!
